That page is definitely NOT a base page, but another USSVI page. It's confusing. |

| I understand the want and need to reach out for membership, but I question such forums as facebook and or twitter. How many, less than desirable, individuals might we attract that will have access to a lot of personal information that can, could and would be used for marketing and what ever. I think we all know more than one submarine qualified sailor who has no respect for the fraternity. How many of these would we attract using this media and/or some hot shot marketing (or what ever) sees our facebook page, realizes the potentional, knows one of the above and uses him for access. I dont know, maybe all is well, just have concerns. Bill |

Location: Clarinda, IA | Well, so far, the people responding have seemed to be interested in learning about the organization. We have many members of USSVI and LIB using facebook and I have run into very few people who didn't seem like people we would like to have as members. We don't use any screening in other methods to attract members and at least with our facebook pages, the people checking in have a chance to know a lot more about what they are becoming involved with than some of the other methods used to find new members for the organization.
